Recovery log
Calls we actually took
Four incidents from people who called, logged the way they came in. No gloss, no carousel.
SUNEVENING
I-49, south of Hogeye
Blown tire on the shoulder at the end of the weekend. The caller expected to sit there until Monday and got help faster than they thought was possible.
19:00NIGHT
Bobby Hopper Tunnel, I-49
Eight broken wheel studs on the approach to the tunnel. Sheared studs at the hub are not something a spare tire fixes on its own.
LATENIGHT
Remote forest campsite
Deep mud at a campsite off the pavement. The only outfit willing to come out that late, into terrain that was hard to reach.
DAYROADSIDE
I-49 shoulder
Flat tire replaced where the vehicle sat. A new tire brought out to the shoulder instead of a tow to town.
Services
Four things, done properly
Everything here is work confirmed by the people who called. If it is not on this list, ask on the phone.
Service Area
I-49
The main corridor through the mountains, north toward Fayetteville and south toward Fort Smith.
US-71
The old highway and the shoulders along it.
Bobby Hopper Tunnel
Both directions, on the I-49 approach.
Winslow
Home base. Copperhead Road and the streets around it.
Boston Mountains
Switchbacks, gravel, and whatever the county graded last.
Rural roads and campgrounds
Forest roads, trailheads, and campsites off the pavement.

All reviewsBlew a tire south of Hogeye on a Sunday evening. They got to me much faster than I thought they would be able to as well as getting to me when they said they could which was great.
Verified review I had blowout on I 49 and needed a new tire. Smith's Towing and Recovery didn't hesitate to come help replace with a brand new one.
Verified review I got stuck in deep mud while camping in a remote forested area, and they were the only company willing to come help me, even though it was late and the location was hard to reach.
Verified review I will only use this company going forward! The driver was also knowledgeable and actually told me how to fix the issue.
